Job Description

3+ years’ experience in Domain deployments at Level II

 

Prior Knowledge

  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to write speeches and IT Governance articles for publication

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in either Information Systems or Computer Science
  • TOGAF Foundation Training
  • TOGAF Certification
  • COBIT Certification
  • Governance and regulatory related qualification and certifications

 

Role Scope

 

  • Establish: Define and establish fit-for-purpose governance practices and standards
  • Educate: Ensure architectural principles and roadmaps are understood. Inform business clusters and units of guiding principles and roadmaps
  • Categorise: Identify projects that will require architecture governance and participation. Evaluate projects, realign as necessary. Project rating and Recommendation
  • Participate: Ensure solutions adhere to principles and roadmaps. Participate and/or check-point measures. Project Rating and Recommendations
  • Validate: Ensure solution implementation is in line with principles, standards, and design.

 

Primary focus is on the definition and establishment of governance practices and processes with regard to the ICT architecture in.

Focus will include all supporting artefacts required to effectively and professionally deliver the Enterprise-level architecture governance, including governance Structures, Principles, Standards, Patterns and Services

Interacting with stakeholders to facilitate timeous implementation and application of governance standards

Ensure continuous consideration of governance between architectural delivery and the operational implementation

Work with operational teams to determine opportunities for improvement of governance

Identify and document organizational requirements relating to governance and compliance

Define and manage implementations of governance and compliance

Work with Enterprise Architect on strategic plans and vision.

Evaluate and research new regulations, guidelines, and governance practices for fit-for-purpose governance

Define and document governance standards and practices

Interact with co-workers, business, and other staff consistent with the standard, practices and values of the organization.

Provide a Architecture Governance Centre of Excellence capability to organisation

Interact continuously with business leadership to clarify IT expectations, solicit information and determine governance requirements, and also to regulate compliance to governance
