As March made way for April of 2015, the realization that RIZE Deutschland had been open and operational for over a year, surprised me. It has been a hectic past year, acclimatising to a new country and culture.
One of the great perks of working in Germany is the opportunity to meet and socialise with engineers in the local market. In the past year I have had the pleasure of convening with consultants from all corners of the world, paying visits to cities such as Darmstadt, Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich, Nürnberg, and of course, Düsseldorf. RIZE always jump at the chance to bring together old and new faces at networking events, and so it was at Schlösser Quartier Bohème on 23rd April 2015.
RIZE prides itself on sourcing talent and getting to the core of exactly what it is each of our consultants wants from a new opportunity. The telecommunications market is increasingly saturated with countless career choices - a byproduct of this are the numerous daily calls from agents. I find face-to-face interaction the best way in which to determine exactly what individuals are looking for, and a positive step forward in helping them find it. It was also a headfirst introduction for some of our newest team members, who were able to get a real sense of what it means to work in this industry and how we can help those within it. For others, it was the first chance to interact with our engineers on a personal level outside of an office-based environment.
All of our engineers, their teammates and friends were welcome to join us, with a great turn out on the night itself. We ate, we drank and we got merry, but more importantly, we were able to explore further what the needs of our customers are, putting names to faces and deciphering where each individual is hoping to go next in their career. It is instilled in the RIZE team to put the customer’s needs first. It was therefore a welcome opportunity for several of us to learn more about our consultants and add a personal touch to the proceedings.
There’s no doubt that we at RIZE will continue to run such networking events. We want to serve the needs of our candidates as best we can and hopefully surpass expectations when it comes to contractual or permanent employment. These events are a great success for all involved (not to mention a lot of fun), but most importantly, they allow us to relate to our market and learn more about the specific requirements of each individual. Finding the right opportunity to fit is only a matter of time!
